I am just listening to "Jaadu Hey Nasha Hai" from Jism in repeat mode..What a voice!! Her voice is so heavenly and yes, she is pretty :) . She is definitely the voice of the 21st century. I have been a fan of her from her first film Devadas. She also got her first National award for the the best female playback singer for her first film.

I like Shreya too. I don't listen to a lot of Hindi songs though.
One of her recent songs in Tamil has Ilayaraja's Music. The song has Bhavatharini and Hariharan as well. While Bhavatharinis voice is flat...Shreyas is very lively and so sweet.!

Yes Sir, she is very good. She sounds great both in Tamil and Hindi. What amazes me is how a person who doesn't know a single word in Tamil can sing so beautifully in an Alien language. We all know other singers who literally kill the language and still survive.
BTW i saw her last year in CA - During Durga Puja - U do know she is a Bengali. Not only is she a good singer but a great entertainer too.

Shreya is the Greatest among the young breed. I like her a lot. The most fascinating thing about her is that she perfects the diction in any language while singing.

Arjuna, I was trying to find about Bombay Jayshree. Dude this lady rocks more than Shreya.. As I said in the TFM, she should come out with an album called Nuptial Night Special and her voice is damn sexy and haunting. And Shriya is good in Hindi not in Tamil.
